Mags is a poet, researcher, freelance writer and editor, whose poems, essays and reviews have been published in various journals and anthologies in Australia, Asia and America. In 2020 she completed a PhD in creative writing at Murdoch University in Western Australia.
Mags' most recent book is nothing to declare (Puncher & Wattmann), shortlisted in the 2021 Prime Minister's Literary Awards.
Her first book The Weather of Tongues (Sunline Press) won Australia's 2011 Anne Elder Award for best debut collection of poetry.
Born and raised in the UK, Mags moved to Australia in 2003. She lived, worked and studied in Hong Kong from 2011 to 2014.
